I have a 1940 9N ford that keeps missing when under a work load. It became realy noticable when using a brush hog. I have cleaned the carb and all the screens in the fuel line that I can find. Plugs and wires look good as far as I can tell. Any suggestion would be great. New to tractors but love these old fords.

gentalmen, thank you. I will be replacing the plugs in the next day or so and check the wires at night. Not much into the bite of blue light. I will keep up informed of what happens.

You can not look at plugs or plug wires and tell if they are good or bad. You can find bad plug wires if you fire it up in the dark, if there bad you will see a sort of blue spark jumpping all over the place. Or when its lite out you can just carefully grap one wire at a time but if you do it that way you will pay for it because it will ZAP the ---- out of you if there bad. I would replace the plugs and also probably the wires

Just for the fun of it, go ahead and install a brand new set of spark plugs. Quite often a plug that looks good is not.
