What would be the better choice between the International 330 Utility and a Ford 3000? I know that the 3000 has more HP but for some reason the 330U looks like it was built stronger.

Both are excellent machines and I'd be hard pressed to choose, but if forced, I'd go for the Ford.

I dont know much about Fords but the 330U is a great tractor. The gas engines are GREAT on fuel. They have excellent drawbar pull due to their weight and low stance. The only thing I really dislike on ours is the 6 volt system. It is always low on cranking power.

It looks like the Ford 3000 stands lower than the 330U. Which would make a better loader tractor?

Does either one have power steering, that will have alot to do with which is better loader tractor.Ford is 20 yrs newer and has 3 pt hitch.Does the IH have 2pt fast hitch,? Personally i'd go with the Ford if they are in equal condition although the Ford may cost more.Be sure and ck the TA on the IH if it has one.

Condition is everything when they are 40-50 years old. 300 is heavier, stronger, tougher -take the 3000 for the 3-pt hitch. Ford has excellent 3-pt & if they're Diesels, the 3000 has the newer, more modern diesel.

Actually the one I am looking at is a 1975 with a GAS motor.
