Wow, ya'll have it tough up north, it's been 70* here the last couple of days. Actually started to cool down this afternoon and I may have to put on a long sleeve shirt tomorrow. Good luck with that snow stuff, maybe one day I'll get to see that stuff in person.

Well, it's 12 at 11:00 here in SE Kansas. Got down to 6 last night. Not too bad compared to what everyone else has reported. Supposed to get snow out the wazoo last night. Barely enough on the ground to know that it did snow. Not that I want several feet of snow, but it's so dry here that the trees are calling in the dogs. Really could use the moisture in whatever form. Well, I could do without any of that freezing rain. Guess I'll keep the home fires buring and watch hockey.

I'm in Ft. Scott. Got up to 20 today but was short lived. Think all the winter stuff went south and north of us. Don't mind that, but like I said it's dry dry dry around here. Burn bans been on for over a month. Really need moisture of some kind. Keep that fire going. Doesn't look to be much warmer tomorrow.

Going to have to move farther south -

It was -32º yesterday here. This morning she's a -10º right now, and supposed to get above zero.

Then we are back into the + teens and twentys for next week. All in all a mild winter.

Alright, but I might warn you, the only thing I think kept me warm out there this morning was loading and unloading those buggers. It sure wasn't chopping ice. Not to mention I don't think you want to tangle with me. I load over 150 of them a day not to mention semi loads on a regular basis. Just kidding you though. Stay warm out there today.

probably 90% or better of the folks on this board now how to deal with those temps. I'm in western oregon USA, it's about 15 degrees F with 30mph wind outside right now. To you folks, that's just a "walk in the park". To us, man, thats like the end of the world.:-)

Well, you know what I mean.:-) I've seen it around here a time or two in the past, but it is rare here. I've called several freinds to see if anyone would be willing to maybe do a little target shooting, or anything. I cant a single person to leave their house.:-(

Editors are the hardest to find. Had to cut one loose last week as she just couldn't cut it.

It is a very demanding line of work. You better talk to her first. :>)

Here in Iowa we have two types of mosquitoes. We have the real small ones that crawl right thru the screens and the big ones that open the door and let themselves in.

Well Dave, Some can take the Humidity, some can't ---- for me, I can take it, but have to have Air to sleep for sure. although I haven't seen much humidity the past 5-6 summers, just a few weeks or so, then it's mild.

It's 11 here in Springfield, Mo this morning and the old M sure didn't want to start to put out the big rounds. I tell you what, you folks out west and way up north are just plain a hardier breed I guess. I just can't imagine putting up with that kind of cold every year, year in and year out. I moved down here from southwest Iowa to get away from the cold, and it ain't nothing to what you guys get. Keep warm and throw another log on the fire, and remember I'm pulling for ya, cause we're all in this together. Harley
