I'm restoring a 1946 Farmall Industrial, I need to know if it should be painted Industrial yellow or standard Farmall red? If it should be painted yellow, what is the paint code for that? Or where do I find the paint code?
Also will I be able to find a decal set for an A-Industrial?

We also have an IA still in it's County Hiway workclothes, has silver paint over the red then yellow, perhaps to block the paint bleeding through. Did have a side mounted sickle mower on it, then we put a 42" Woods belly mower on it, sits in the barn now, waiting...

I am also restoring an A-I. I found decals from Maple Hunter Decals. They are not 100% correct but they are very close and I think thats all you are going to end up finding. My tractor looks to have been repainted several times, both red and yellow. I plan to put the tractor back to yellow, because it won't look like a typical A farmall. I have yet to come up with a paint code, but I am continuing to research it.

Your tractor would have been painted red at the factory, unless the customer specified differently, in which case IH would have painted it any color the customer chose. If yellow is what you want, I think the OLD Caterpillar yellow was used most often. Make sure you get the OLD yellow, the NEW Cat yellow is a totally different color. New Holland yellow also looks good on an IH, and as much as I don't like to admit it, JD yellow also looks OK.
