Not to long ago I posted a question on how to make a Cat.1 dirt scoop fit a Cat.1 quick hitch.

Kind of an extreme makeover but I don"t think I will bend anything. Richard

Better than my mod for the same problem... I was just able to buy longer mounting pins, and shim them out with sleeves made from slices made from water pipe. Haven"t bent anything serious yet. May choose to copy your mod. looks stronger than mine. R

Ray, check out the angle iron I scabbed on to the back of the bucket last summer. Does a good job of keeping dirt out of the release. Now I realize after lookin at my own picture that I was gonna put a triangle shaped plate on top of that iron. Got any ideas on what I can make pin collars out of? I need 5 pr. and really don"t want to pay $26 a set. Thanks, Richard

Richard, I have used pieces of water pipe cut to the length needed with a pipe cutter. Carefully done (gently) you can get a pretty even straight cut. Have used these in several different 3pt impliments for my 2pt/3pt Farmall 200.
