My 4630 has 150 PTO HP and 130 Drawbar HP. Do you think I could pull a 22 foot field cultivator with my 4630? It would be around Henry County, Missouri. I wasnt sure if I could or not and I dont want to buy something that cant be used for what I want to use it for. I dont want to buy to big of a tractor. Thanks.

I'm 60 miles from you and pull a 23 ft #4500 IH FC with harrow with a 1206 or a 1456 IH.I run over 6 mph with no problems.

Around here a 4630 could pull a 26-28 ft FC.

Should be okay. We pulled a 25 Ft. 1010 JD with a 4430 in B2. This was in north central Oklahoma.

Should pull it just fine, we run a 20' IH field cultivator behind either a 1070 Case or a 7710 Ford. Duals will help it even more, and packs the ground less.

Around here that tractor would be a good match for a 22ft field cultivator at about 6.5-7 mph. Around here most 30' field cultivators are being pulled with 200+ hp MFD tractors and even then they aren't setting any speed records.

Brad: You could probably make 15 MPH with that cultivator as deep as it will penetrate. Only one problem at that speed, the cultivator will start bouncing around 10 MPH. Or at least that is what happened when one of my cowboys got up around 10 MPH with Farmall 1066 and 25' cultivator. Lucky we caught him after about 4 rounds as driving over it in pickup was just like driving on solid waves. Interesting part was it took close to 3 years to get it smooth again.

One of the perrils of giving too much horse power to an idiot. Be careful who you give the 4630 and 22' cultivator to.

A 4630 should pull a 22 foot field cultivator very very easily.
