Update cleaning fuel tank

thanks everyone for you input.

I decided I would make a hook and pull out everything I could that way, here is Picture of 90% of what was in this fuel tank.

Even a bird buried some where in straw and weeds (cheat grass and foxtail)
Now this pile is same size around as the tank.

Hurst, I am doing a test on another salvage tank I have to see how the sulphric acid will effect it. So far after 15 minutes has not effected the galvanize, just removing the paint. Sulphric acid is what professionals use to clean galanized drain pipes.

Will post my results later.

sounds good can have the tractor and plow ready in 15 minutes. the tires are still set out from plowing last fall.

Wow, you have a lot more patience than me. Are you going to flush it out with some acid still to make sure everything is out? Maybe some gas will work to flush it out and get the junk out of the tank. Good luck

Why would you want to use acid, and take the tin plating off of the terne metal tank???
