Just curious of how many on here are going to be brave enough to go out and face the crowds tonite.

or Maybe I should have said foolish enough

Or stupid enough to bring in the New Year with the young and foolish. :-) :>)

Hey Allan, you better stay home with that gimpy leg.

Wife and I stayed in...as usual...won't go into any details there! But oldest daughter went out against our better advice with soon to be SIL. Leaving the bar, a car was passing through the parking lot without it's lights on. Daughter tapped on windshield and helled "Turn your lights on!" Driver jumps out of car, pulls out what appeared to be a 9mm, chambers a round and starts fanning it towards the crowd of people leaving the bar, yelling "Who the $$$$ hit my car!" Needless to say, daughter was very shook up when she got home...might not be so inclined to hit the bar next New Years Eve.

We are fortunate that everything is all right...we never thought we would have to worry about that kind of stuff in that area of town. Cops say the Gang stuff is really spreading and getting out of hand.

Happy New Year! Tim

This is "after the fact", but I just checked into the board. We had 23 here for turkey and ham and many pies, and gift exchange with my side of the family. With the stress on the Mrs. in putting on that feed, plus my having burned stump piles (in the rain- not a pleasant activity) all morning added up to two pooped folks around 10 PM after the last of the company went home. We wished each other a happy new year and turned in, without mention from either about trying to stay up til midnight.

Put the kids in the bed around 9pm. Made love to the wife on the couch around 11pm. Fell asleep on the couch while holding wife around 11:15pm. Wife woke me up 5 seconds before the New York bell dropped and I kissed her while the bell was dropping and then went to bed. Got up at 4:00am and went to work. I get off work around 6:15pm and will go home to a "Pot Luck Supper"

"HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Wife is at work. Gets off off about 11 and should come through the door by 11:30. By then I should have the tenderloin done and ready for the table. This is the one night I fire the grill no matter what the weather. Even though I've been at this for a long long time, it still hasn't bored the Mrs. so here we go again. I hope all around these parts are half as blessed and twice as lucky as I have been this past year. Happy New Year all!

I usually stay at home NYE. I'm very much a night owl, so staying up wont be a problem. Too many drunks on the road for my taste. Guess Im in to stay. Probably my evening highlight will be washing the drywall dust off of me.

Nope, I been out all day with my friends and I'm staying in. Probably be sound asleep long before 9 PM. Closest thing to fireworks around here was while I had some help I had the Little Cowman lift me up in the loader bucket to unsnarl the electric wires to the house that got tangled up in that last snow and wind storm, (and ya, we shut the juice off first so not much excitement there) Seems somehow that the older I get, "dull and boring" suits me fine. But hey, to all those here at YT, Happy New Year
