Yep, I know this isn't tractor talk, but I'll be using my tractor around it, so that counts. I'm looking for a semi trailer to use for grain storage. Only 200-300 bu. at a time, so don't need to be great big. A short pup trailer would work, or longer if available. Needs to have a good roof on it, and eitheer reefer or dryvan will work. Like to have it within 100 miles or so of Springfield, Missouri, don't need a title, and only needs enough tires to get it home as I'm gonna cut them out from under it anyway. Anybody out there know of one? Thanks, Harley

Seen today a old school bus with holes cut in top for filling.Might be a alternative to be had at some county school sale, for cheap.

Lots of folks here use the Shipping containers for storing stuff, here.. There is a surplus of them, due to the trade imbalance... not worth shipping them back to China empty...They are tight & dry, several sizes , short & long. One guy here took 4 & built a shop, 2 wide, & 2 high, ...

A straight truck box might work and be a better size

Harley it would be cheaper and easier if you looked for an older gravity wagon and just threw a tarp over it ,those old containers and trailers start around 1000.00 and up

Ya I bought two gravity wagons from the classifieds on here and have to go and get them in January, but with my luck, the day it got down to 56 below with a 47 mile an hour wind, that's the day the tarp would take a dump. BTDT. Just as well do it right the first time and save all the aggravation, plus I can store my protein meal, mineral, and salt blocks all in the same place. Thanks guys, let me know ifn ya find something. Harley

Up in St kouis the rail roads have auctions all the time ,company I used to work for bought 15 45's just to move rolls of paper around town for about 12-1500.00 each . But there may be RR yards closer than that to you to check in ,go to www.uprr.com and send them a email they may have something near you for salvage .
