hi all went to fire up furnace in out building today it is a hot air oil fired type flipped power on and just a hum comes from burner for around 15 second then reset pops out any ideas i talked to a couple of guys here one said transformer and the other said motor itis a reillo 40 burner most i talked said very strange for this to happen thaks ross in nova scotia oh ya there was snow flurries today

Aloha, Hum?? What tune?? Just joking, sound like the motor isn't starting. Is it a capacitive start motor? If it is, either the start capacitor or start centrifugal switch isn't working. Some motors may have the capacitor on the motor itself or away from it.

It's not your transformer - that buzz is your transformer - it's either your pump stuck and the motor can't turn it, or else it's your motor. Check the end of the motor for a reset button.
