I've fixed a couple of them by building up some weld, then putting the teeth back on with a three-cornered file. Not hard, works good, looks like original.

Aloha, Other then what has been said, maybe you could get a triangular shaped file and refile the the worn tooth v's. Is it the tooth that are worn or the other ratcheting finger? Maybe you could increase the tension on the spring if it has one.

Mahalo,

Aftermarket replacements are available from this site as well as several others. You can also build up the tooth on the lever by welding and then grinding it back into shape which works pretty good but is kind of a hassle to do.
