I have a Massey Ferguson 135 its a great running tractor but has just had a huge problem. Its stuck in third gear and the shifter moves like its in neutral. I dont know all that much about tractors but I cant do the things I want to do if i cant shift gears. (any help would be appreciated}.I dont understand how the linkage works. it seems that, that is what the problem is. anyone that can give me any ideas id very much appreciate it. the service call is $65 dollars an hour and I have no way to bring it the hour away that it takes the guys to get to where the tractor is. Is it just linkage or is it somthing much worse, and how do I get to the linkage and take a look. Does the case have to be cracked open or can I just take off the bolts and see the problem..... ..... ..... .Thanks for any help at all..... ..... ..... ..... ..... .Jake!

Simple problem and happens often. Just post this on the MF board. A guy named Big Dean will tell you how to fix it. The fix just takes a few minutes. Hold off on that service call.
