You can find machined adapters to go from 1-1/8 " to 1-3/8 " PTO shafts that will hold up very well. I have one that I have iused for many years with no sign of abnormal wear. Don't buy the stamped steel adapters though. As was suggested, if you are powering anything with high rotating inertia with your 8N, get a ORC for safety. You can get these in 1-1/8 female to 1-3/8 male sizes and kill two birds with one stone.

I agree with Paul the sleeves don't last, in the long run its better to go spend a few more $$ and get the overrunning adaptor

Those little sleaves never last is my experience. Even at idle speed on a low-power, slipclutch protected elevator. Some have a little shank or collar on the back edge, might be better. Don't save too much money by buying 20 of the cheapies as they break apart on you... ;)

Are you on 6v or 12v for the lights?

I guess no one is answering your question directly... I don't know the cheapest source, as I don't buy them any more, but most farm supply stores and dealers have them or can get them. Something like a TSC or Fleet & Farm would likely be the cheapest. A mail order would come to the same with shipping for one item, I'd expact all the typical mail order places to have them too.
