One of my customers came up with a very strange contraption. I need to know what I'm dealing with.Well here's a description of the beast:The Ford tractor has no steering axle as you would expect. The engine end of tractor is hanging out there in open air. There is a boom similar to a road grader attached to the rear axle, with a tricycle steering gear about10 feet fron the drive axle. The seat is above the dashboard facing backwards toward the tricycle wheels. There is a sweeper attachment set-up that rotates either direction. Has power angle and a raise and lower control. The tractor numbers tell me it's a 1968 era 2000-3000-4000 gas tractor. It works real well. But what the heck is it? where do I find broom parts for it?? Do Sweepster parts interchange? Any help would be appreciated..

Ford used to make bare tractor drivetrains (engine/trannie/final drive) for OEM's of self-propelled equipment such as swwwpers, forklifts, etc. Sounds like you got your hand on one of those. These drivetrains had standard Ford tractor components. I don't know about the broom or boom end, tho.
