Can anyone tell me how many gallons of calcium solution and how many pounds you can fit in a 13.6-28 tire?

This table will tell you how many gallons of water the tire will take. The weights are for water alone. Calcium will be heavier than the water alone.

I like those nifty charts..... ...Someone had one similar to it on Red Power that I thought was neat.

Not to big of a fan of loading tires, but somehow I have ended up with most of mine being loaded..... .

Dave or old

The chart shows a 75% fill on the tire. I am putting a loader on my 856, w 18.4 38 tires. The chart shows that would be 917 water + whatever weight of calcium. I don't think I need that much weight even carrying a big bale. Is it OK to only load the tires with approx 50% ? that should give me approx 1000# on the back end without forcing the axle to carry the weight.

Rob

I'd be a little leery of filling a tire only 50%.
The liquid will slosh around pretty good even at 75%, seems to me like it would be worse at 50%, but it's not something I've tried.
Maybe somebody else has done it and can comment on whether it's a problem or not.

Rob old buddy, that's one of the reasons they used to like to put calcium in tires. The weight don't ride on the axle, but in the tires. All the axle does is balance it. I still won't use the nasty stuff cause even a pin hole will ruin a rim in time, so I'd rather hang steel, but you can't beat that stuff for adding weight to a tractor. How you coming on the 560?
