About $200.00 per ton for clean scrap steel. Are you saying that somebody thought enough of you to leave thier beloved tractor which is in fine shape, to you. And you are just going to sell Grampa's pride and joy for a few hundred bucks of cash??? The poor man would roll over in his grave knowing his tractror is for sale. And he would wish he had known that you wouldn't appreciate his gift.

Try checking under "Reasearch and Info - Tractor Values" on the left of the page. A 200 is similar to a "C". Its probably not worth as much as you think - maybe $2000 if it looks and runs good (ie restored or mint original condition). Less if it runs good but looks lousy (ie mechanically ok but rusty and dented). Alot less if looks good but doesnt run. Next to nuthin' if looks lousy and doesnt run.

You can find a ballpark price at the link. Your mileage may differ.

Bob, What something is worth and what it will bring in most cases are not one and the same. You could say that your tractor is "worth" $10,000.00, but will it bring that much? The best way to establish the "value" is to hold an auction. Even though you have but one item, there are consignment auctions that attract hundreds of bidders. Those folks will let you know what the value of your tractor is on that given day at that given place. Anything else is merely conjecture. By the way, I"ll open the bidding at $1.50.
