OK - mighta finally run into a deal....could be a white elephant, too!
My 80 year old neighbor offered to give me his non-restored Super H narrow front just to get it out of his yard. He has a Long 350 wide front he uses now. I "fixed" (rigged up) the hydraulic pump on this tractor last winter. Since he doesn"t need or use this tractor now I was waiting for warmer weather (got that, now!) to finish the job - I need to get the horizontal lines primed so it"ll pump hydraulic fluid but I think I"ve got that figured out. Biggest thing is his 12 y/o son was doing some target practice off the back deck....I was told that apparently 1 pellet from a .410 got the radiator. I looked - I couldn"t SEE where it took the full .410 load or multiple .22 holes..... Is an early 50"s Super H N/F worth trying to salvage? Also, where do I look for a serial number to ID the year? Thanks for any info!

Thanks for the info! I have an AC D17 Series 1 that does everything I need but I just hate to see this old IH sitting in the rain like an orphan. I went over and built a shed for it a couple of years ago. Used some left over material I had so the shed was free for the guy. Since this old Super H has been replaced with a newer Long, the Long is under the shed and this old girl is backout in the rain. I've always been a sucker for strays and underdogs....

At that price i would take it. Here in east central Kansas they are worth about 1500 to 2500. The serial no. you are looking for is on the clucth housing. Sounds like a good deal to me. If it is a 54 model it might be worth more than a 53 model.
