The hydraulic lift on the 3 point hitch no longer works. Luckily a previous owner fitted a hydraulic ram which does the job and means I can still bush hog etc. However I would like to get the original lift working. Any ideas on the most likely cause and what to look for. Also the ticks round here go crazy for my pure English blood. Walk down to the barn and ernd up picking 8 or 9 ticks off me. Tried Seven etc but they still crawl all over me. Any suggestions?

Best thing I have found for any pesky bugs is 100% deet. You have to look at the labels, only Off has 100% and then only in the little hand pump bottle. Don' always find it have to look around I think it sells out fast.

Norman, Go to the bottom of the page and click on home. Go to the column on the right and scroll down to Ford 9n/2n/8n and you will find a lot of guys there willing to get you started. One of the first things they will tell you is to get the I&T Shop Manual for the 8N which is available on this site under Market Place / Manuals. This is a great publication that will help you keep her going. Ticks? Sorry can`t help you there.
