Hey guys just be glad you can own something for that much. I've got a customer who is renting a 345 CAT excavator and a month for it was just over $12,000. Of course it has a 4 cu yard bucket but still, $12,000 a month is pretty steep....

Sorry guys,

When I posted this I got the price wrong it works out at 9500 US Dollars or 10900 Canadian Dollars

At this price I think they are a bargain.
Sorry for the confusion

Had a friend who needed a large hole in the back yard for a radio tower a while back. We rented one of those type tools from the local rent-shop. As I remember, it had an 8hp engine. Did a suprisingly good job for it"s size. Never win in a comparison with a real backhoe, but it did an outstanding job for it"s size. Sure beat a shovel! My main complaint was that the controls all seemed to operate backwards. (You know, push the lever when you want to pull!) But $ seems awful high.

I can't believe that could cost $14,000. You could buy a nice backhoe for that kind of money. Their is not enough weight on that unit to dig very well. I run a John Deere and you would be suprised when digging how much it takes to dig even in loose soil. You couldn't dig much more than sandy soil with that unit. Rick

I just looked at that website. If it is $14,000 then that is really a lot of money for a small digger. It looks like it is worth about $5-6K to me. Go to Struckcorp.com and look at the minidozers they make, in the USA too. They have FEL's, backhoes, augers, rear 3pt. and you could get a Struck crawler for way less then that Candig machine.

Fourteen Grand, US Dollars? FOR THAT???

Not hardly. You can buy a used mini excavator on tracks for that.

I agree..... .... $14,000 FOR THAT THING!!!!!

If I was going to spend $14000 on a backhoe I would be much happier with This or This
