Is this a good place to ask for answers about a 656 hydro that won't move? Ahead it trys to almost move, but backing it will take off and back up only after reving up and waiting about 5 seconds. Servo pressure is good. Hear the engine pulling like there is pressure being built up (not over laboring, just normal) Just started doing this all at once! Thanks for any ideas!!

I don't know if the IH board has anyone, but Oliver board has some guys who know so much about Olivers that its almost scary. You might want to post on the IH board- some guy will probably tell you you need a new o-ring on the bezel shaft or some such, and you'll be back in business.

Top Off, Change fluid. Replace filter. Make sure all adjustment are too the book. If that dont help, you may have a pricey problem. How hard does it get worked. By any chance have you installed a Temp sensor/gauge too monitor the hyd fluid temp. Too much heat is no good for them.

I didn't mention the tractor was going down the road and quit. No load or anyhing and was working fine before. Checked servo pressure and its 'ok'. Also checked charge pressure and its no less than 100 and goes up in neutral position. Thanks for your replys. Have to get a 10000 psi gauge to check the other pressures yet.

CP,

I'm no hydro guy, but it kinda sounds like your charge pump has bit the dust.

Hope that is all it is, anyway.
