If this is yours, would you please shoot it and put it out of its misery? Poor thing is dying of embarassment.

You can load the tires with helium and install a propeller on the pto shaft

Check out the steering using that spool valve to the left of the steering wheel. Kinda like flying a plane with a stick.

Interesting - I didn't notice that. When I toured the Steiger plant in Fargo a week ago Thursday, they had Steiger #1 on display. Built by the Steiger brothers in 1956 & 57. It also used a spool valve for steering the articulated tractor. The tractor, despite it's age, I thought resembled the Steiger panthers of the 70s.

That's a donut tractor. Plain on front and jelly filled on rear.

I belive the story is that this was used on a sod farm, and all equipment on sod farms have huge tires like this they probley pulled a gang of reel mowers with the old girl. But with some TLC she could shine again.

Isn't that a rice prototype that IH had been working on back in the 40's? Heard it didn't work out because they couldn't get it turned around at the end of the field. Probably worth a lot of $$$$

Where I'm taking my old backhoe to do a little more ditch work tomorrow I could use one of that model. We had two and a half inches of rain this week, since I took these pics.

What kind of back hoe do you have? I have a MF 50C that I have to be invaluable. Like you said a ditch is a GOOD THING!!

I am right now working on my driveway. I have ditched it on one side. Currently reshaping road from a crown to a slope. The intent is to sheet the water off into the new ditch.

Your pics look like the back end of my place - SWAMPY :-)

Mine's a '67 Ford 3500. I don't know how I lived without it. Can't remember what I used to spend all my time and money on. Wm

Akmed, you old camel rustler, where have you been? I talked to either you or your cousin Hadji the other day in Bangmydash about a satilite hookup with phone service. Did you get the plane tickets I sent you and your sister Mouamed? Looking forward to you guys getting over here and helping to herd all our cows. Praying very much to talk to you later, Harley

I often wondered what they did with all those surplus B29 tires. Now I know.

Those are the tires those Russion snow buggies use for crawling all over glaciers and the pole.

Those tires look a lot like used tires from a large passenger jet....
