Although it is embarrasing, you cannot take away what they accomplished this season. Just because they lost by a lot doesnt make them any worse of a team. One thing I learned from the game was that even though it seems the team wasnt prepared, when you lose that bad it can have a lot to do with emotion (or lack of), being stunned and taken out of your game, or just simply having a bad day. Especially when your young you can take things for granted or misjudge a situation. Once it gets out of hand, its too late. Even though its hard to forget, you need to put it past you and move on. Good Luck next year.

I thoroughly enjoyed the results.

In our local paper a columist related a rip through LAX where there were some Sooner fans doing the BOOMER...SOONER cheer. He said to one of the ladies leading the cheer that OU was a good team but USC was a good team as well. Her response was "Good for a PAC-10 team". Sorry OU fans but the PAC-10 is easily the best football conference going. As good as USC was the only teams that even gave them a contest were Cal and OSU, both PAC-10 teams!

Go Beavs!

I think it helped that USC had their best game ever, and absolutely could do no wrong. They were just unconscious out there. Any pass thrown within 10 feet of the receiver got caught, etc. The Sooners, on the other hand, just seemed to wilt after the muffed punt, and the early quick TD's by USC. On another day, things might have turned out differently, but last night, nobody could have touched USC.

CAL???? Hey, didn't Texas Tech wax Cal by like 20 points or something?? I think USC is the ONLY team in the Pac 10 that could compete on a regular basis in the Big 12 South!! CMORE

TT over Cal don't count. Cal wanted the Rose Bowl, lost all motivation when tu (I'm also a former Aggie) begged their way in and it showed.

I'm feeling your pain, Tim. Being from Kansas I'm always for the Big 12 schools. Especially since KU doesn't have a football program, well not one that many of us would claim!

But, hey, it's basketball season. How 'bout them Hawks!!! Even without Simeon, we're lookin' good.

No shame in finishing #2, albiet a DISTANT #2..... They still had a good year. Just walked into a buzz saw last night. USC coulda took out 2/3rds of the NFL teams. (If you're too ashamed of the Sooners to keep 'em, I'll trade you heads up for my Indiana Hoosiers) John

John,
Try being in the same state as the Illinois football team. I think they have been using pee wee footbal kids that last few years.

JOhn, What would the banks of the Wabash be without the jugernaut Hoosier football program being what it is? Trading all that for the Sooner program might tend to cause folks not to feel the same empathy for losing. Having lived in Columbus for 28 years, I can attest to the fact that losing one game to Michigan is a far greater sin than the Hoosiers losing 9 games in a season. You might want to reconsider and keep your loveable Hoosiers as I"m sure you"d eventually curse the Sooners because of such high expectations. I bet there isnt a dry eye in Oklahoma this morning, given that both teams (OU & OSU)got waxed in the embarrassing manner that they did.
