Hi Dug,

Nice straight loader. Do you still have the teeth for the grapple? Noticed you took them off.

Pretty country you live in too, by the way. :>)

Morning Allan,

The teeth are leaning against the 2nd pole in front of the tractor. The hydraulics started leaking so I took it to the hydraulic doc. I bent the shaft somehow.

We live in NE Kansas, about 40 miles west of KC. I own 20 and my brother owns the rest of the 80. Been told we bought "junk" land. Can't really use it for anything productive with all the hills and trees. But the fact is, I bought it to raise two boys and the hills and trees are working out just fine.

Later,

Dug

Dug,

There is no "junk" land in Kansas.

Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming and the Dakotas comprise sacred land!!! An old Indian said this once (think it was me) :>)

Speakin' of stretchin'..... . :>)

Like those Ponderosa hills Alan. If I get 75% of my land flat I"ll take gentle hills like yours for the rest, first choice stuff. Loren

Success! This time your picture worked just fine. Very interesting pic - I had no idea that kind of loader could achieve such a height. I've got a '51 8N myself with a Wagner step through tube-type loader. I've got a 3' gravel bucket and & a 6' snow bucket that is very ruggedly built. I've built a lot of logging roads on my property using the gravel bucket and plow my snow with the bigger bucket. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days.

Hey Carl,

I'ld love to see 'em. Hope you have better luck than I did!

This is a Farmhand F11, has a 17 foot reach and a 3,000lb lift capacity. The grapple has been a life saver. I have been clearing land for a house and the majority of the trees are hedge and thorn locust. Not a lot of fun to cut and drag by hand!

Here's that picture I said I'd post. Doesn't show the bucket, but it shows the frame pretty well. I have down pressure on this rig too, as the cylinders are double acting ones. Note the wide truck tires the dealer added to help support the loader's weight. I mounted the "frog eyes" lights on light angle iron so I can see the driveway to plow at night. This tractor also has the Sherman hi-lo range transmission as well. The bungee cords on the chains help keep them tight to the wheel as the tires are pretty worn down and I've no more adjustment left on the chains themselves.

Thanks for that picture Carl. I have that same loader on my 841 but did not know what make it was. Do you know anything about the Wagner Co.? Where are they from, are they still around?

It is a pretty rugged loader, however, mine was obviously bent or broken in a couple places because the frame had been welded up and braced with additional steel.

Thanks again.

Tim

Nice lookin' rig, Carl. I need to mount some lights on mine as well. I could also use a set of chains on mine, but I can't locate that money tree! Did spring for a set of chains for the pick-it-up truck. Had a 6 inch snow hit day before T-day and discovered that my "cool lookin'" drive way with the "S" shape on the hill is a real booger when the weather hits. Looks like I'll be parking the cars at the bottom of the hill on bad days and running the 4x4 up and down the drive. Gotta love country livin'!
