I have a Ford tractor with separate decals on the engine compartment - "Ford Dexta" and "2000". After looking at this web site to locate serial numbers etc, I found "B*312738", and above it "F305" and above it "F17C". None of these numbers match anything published on this web site or elsewhere. A casting number on the engine, "C5NE 6015A", and other casting numbers indicate that it belongs to the Ford 2000 family. Can anyone point me to a site where I can validate the serial and other numbers??

Dave - I think you'll find that it's one of the last Super Dexta's from England. In the States, they were known as 2000 Super Dextas while here in Canada, they were just Supers. This was just before the introduction of the new 1000 series (3,4 and 5000)

If you look in the Tractor photos Gallery of this web site, Searching "Ford 2000 petrol" you will find a picture exactly like the 2000 I am writing about. The decals are in the same place with the same words and the exhuast is down casting. I may send in a picture but this one is not so pretty.
My tractor is located in Parry Sound ON.

Dave - I'm from Jarvis,On. - near Lake Erie.
I think you'll find that your tractor has,for some reason, been rebadged (possibly re-painted).
When I re-painted my Super Dexta, the original Super decals were not readily available so we used Ford 2000 Super Dexta (last of the Super Dextas) decals instead. Same thing might have happened to your tractor. Clear as mud --- right?
