Hi steven, Jump on the machine a dig a hole for about 1hr. If it still digs well after 1hr then the hydraulics are in decent shape and are not micky moused together. If not then plan on spending $2k more getting it to dig well and thats with you doing the work. Cylinders are easy to rebuild, pumps easy to replace. Load the bucket full then turn the wheel will tell you how good the PS is, bad but repairable is about $300 depending on parts needed. Travel in 4th with a 3/4 load and that will tell you if the clutch is ok. I would bet it would cost about $500 to rehose the rig. In any event, your buying a money pit. I run mine about 25hrs a year and have to put $200 in parts as something is always needing fixed. Thats after I spent the orginal $2k. For here, thats about the right price for one in terrible shape.
