I agree with coonhunter the 801 is a good tractor. But do yourself a favor, select-o-speed parts are hard to come by, put in a manual transmission and the tractor will last a life-time. It will cost a little more but if your tractor is in good condition it's well worth the cost.

The SOS from the 3 cylinder tractors will not fit the 4 cylinder version tractors.

For a little more money you can convert it to a 5 spd. and have a much better unit when you're done. And alot more resale value to-boot!!!

Should. What kind of warranty? Band adjustments are critical on a S-O-S.Use the manual.Simple tranny though.

If you can find a 5 speed the s-o-s is a p-o-s the 5 speed will increase the valve of the tractor and its a much better trans
