I have a block heater in my Massey 135 Gas but it is 5 degs out and it fired right up no problem with out pluging it in. It is supposed to drop down to -15 in the next few days I will try it then and see how it starts. Might have to plug it in not sure yet. Mark H.

Willy if you have a block heater in your 135 use it any time it is below 30Deg. most engine wear comes in the first few seconds of starting a cold engine, and using a block heater will reduce this wear.

Better to plug it in when it gets that cold whether it will start or not, easier on the engine. Our loader tractor has a block heater and a transmission heater, when it gets down to -55 at night it's sure nice to be able to start using the loader first thing in the morning instead of having to wait an hour for the hydraulics to thaw out.

If I were to have a heater and able to warm tne engine, I would. More wear takes place when the engine is cold and any increase in temp must be worthwhile - and economic if electricity is cheap enough, as liqid fuel is expensive for warming up an engine.
Hope to fit a heater system to my car today, so it can demist/defrost before I leave for work as well as having a warm engine and interior.
Regards,RAB

Send thoughs temps our way and hold the snow. I want the lake to freeze so if I get time I can do some fishing. I wouldn't think a 135 gasser would need a heater. My 245 diesel doesn't need one till it gets under 10, then it just starts faster. Better for the engine to have warm oil.

Keep warm.

I don't know how you fellows deal with that kinda weather, mid 70's in virginia today. if we ever had - temps, our blood would stop flowing. the problem is it does not feel like Christmas around here until sometime in Feb.

I will trade you some cold for rain anyday! We need a whole bunch of that to catch up from a 5 year drought. Mark H.
