If I plowed this every time I got 2 inchs of snow I would not get any work done at all. It gets 3 feet deep out here man.

A poor old disabled fellow like yourself should save your strength to fight the government conspiracies!

Once we get a few inches of snow, it is usually wise to scrape it off. They'll predict warm-up in three days - but they usually are wrong. Once we have snow cover, it affects dew point & temperature. Those city-boy meteoroligists just can't seem to learn how snow cover keeps the surface temp near the dew point. They'll predict 40, it'll make 33. Kind of like John Deere horsepower - they say it has 60- it is 48. They say 93, it has 81.

I plowed my driveway this morning altho I had only about 1-1/2" of snow. I have a steep driveway (800') and because it faces south, the sun will melt it if i can expose some of the stone. Most of the snow melted off it today even tho the temp never got above 20 deg. I can't afford to let a snow pack build up because the constant melting and freezing soon turns it into ice.

Guess I've plowed too much - the thrill is gone! I try to get a snow pack built up on driveway so's I don't tear up the sod & gravel with the plow. If i can get the ground frozen before I plow, so much the better. If Mother nature is going to warm it up in the next couple days - LET HER!

Old, You might as well plow and have some fun. The first couple times it's fun, by March most of the fun is gone, so I'd do it now! Larry

I'd go ahead and plow it. Course I'm down here in Mississippi. I'm a transplant from Nebraska and then Missouri.

Go ahead and have some fun with your tractor and plow it. It will make your driveway dry up faster if it warms up and in the event it doesn't turn warm you won't have packed it down into a sheet of ice.

I just finished plowing my drive here in Northeast MO even though there was only four inches. Getting it off the gravel surfaces will let it dry much faster and in the end your gravel will last longer.
