I recently purchased a 1998 Belarus model 570 with 400 hours. The steering feels unpredictable, wanders a lot and requires constant correction, particularly when on the pavement at higher speeds. Is this pretty much standard for a Belarus or do I have a problem.
Thanks for the feedback.

Jab, Check your tie rod bushings for tightness. They can be adjusted by tightening the plug located under the pin that attaches to your steering arm. You will need to remove the wire that is installed on the plug and install a new wire when finished. Check the toe in and adjust it if needed. The spec for the toe in is 2 to 6 mm. Taking these steps should minimize any wandering. If the wandering is still excessive You may have a faulty steering cylinder or steering valve. In this case you should contact a dealer or a hydraulic shop to have it checked out. If you have further questions you can contact me at rkoscinski@belarus.com . If you need to know the location of the dealer nearest you contact our webb site at www.belarus.com and click on U.S. dealers.
Hope this helps,
