Does anyone have experience with this MF model? It is a Perkins diesel and has a 3 speed with the shuttle shift (e.g. - all speeds have a forward and reverse via shift lever on left side of steering column). It has about 3,000 hours and a heavy duty 2,800 lb (?) loader.

Thanks for any input.

1) General parts availabiltiy
2) Reliability of the shuttle shift (forward/reverse)
3) Any specific areas of concern.

Thanks!

Have never had a problem with parts from my MF dealer.

A strong running, reliable tractor that is ergonomically painful.

Hydraulic steering cyclinder recently crapped out after 2500 hours.

Bulletproof Perkins AD203

Transmission has the right gears.

The shuttle stinks-it is not syncro. This is big time annoying as you must be stopped to shift.

Decent on fuel.

My loader could be stronger. I have the backhoe which I really like.

I like the idea of outboard planetaries.

I wouldn't trade mine. Super tractor for the money. Will probably last for a long time.
