I'm sure you all have seen many sites concerning Isabel but this particular one has local ties for Wisconsin. Seems the University of Wisconsin feeds this information to the National Hurricane Center, so you are seeing what they see. It also has some military ties too. I hope all our east coast neighbors come through this one well. Be sure to check the special images section for an animated tracking of the storm.

Pretty interesting stuff....even if most of it is over my head.

I have a question, how do knots translate to mph when they talk about wind speed? They are mentioning 82-90 kt windspeed, but I can't relate to anything but mph.

JIM, A Nautical mile is 6000 feet(usually refered to as 2000yards).

Cook book math after that... :o)

For those of us who remember Cook.
