It is very doutful it is a starter/gen. T20s never came through with a starter. Could be someone retrofitted a update kit to it. I would have to look up in my service letters to see if they had one. T20s usuall always used magnetos.

Never heard of a retrofit starter. Last I knew there weren't even teeth on the flywheel. All T-20's were hand crank.

Right you are. I was refering to a retrofit distributor to replace the F4 mag. I doubt the starter could drive back through the dist./gear train.

Aloha, Since the generator is gear driven, could this be a motor-generator? In other words, starter and generator built into one.
