I have a Kubota L4310 with HST. I need to change the hydraulic fluid and was going to use Tractor supplys premium hydraulic fluid instead of the expensive Kubota UDT fluid that the manual recomends. TSC's premium fluid lists that it is suitable as a replacement for Kubota UDT fluid. The thing I am worried about is that I have a friend that recently used TSC's premium fluid in a John Deere motor grader and is now having problems with the hydraulics leaking down when the unit gets hot. Has anyone else had any problems with this premium hydraulic fluid from TSC?

Thanks

Don't be a typical tightwad, buy cheap lubricants and then cry around the coffee shop in a few years with the large repair bills that will follow. Get the recommended fluid.

Your friend didn't use compatiable oil for his machine. All hydralic oil is not the same. You need to consult your manual or dealer to find out what hydralic oil to use for your machine.I have a bulldozer that requires hytran oil but my operator put another grade in it and the same problem occured whan mahine is cold hydralics worked fine but when it got worm it ran at 25% speed do to the incompatable oil.If in doubt buy better stuff

You spent all that money on a Kubota, and now you want to put cheapo fluid in it?? How often do you plan to change it for the UTD to cost too much more??? Have you priced Kubota parts??? Every time i walk into my Kubota dealer i feel like i been raped!! Robert

Corkscrew; Why take a chance?? go with what the factory recomends. Your few dollars saved now will not look to good if you run into some repairs later, due to "cheap oil"

Use it in my 2150 kubota. I brought it new 10yrs ago and have used it since I got it. I also have a loader on it and work it pretty hard. Never had a problem with the hydralics on it. Although I do use the good stuff in the engine. For what its worth??

If the description says it's a replacement for Kubota UDT, I'd be concerned. If the description says "Meets Specification for Kubota UDT", then it SHOULD be the same as the Kubota fluid.
