A 1995 should already have the connector for the brake controller under the dash (abot the center). You can get an adapter plug from wherever you get the controller.

The walmart / TSC break boxes work fine. i have one in my f250... mine was a later post 2000 model so it was easy instalation.. I use pluged in the controller unde rthe dash them put a big fuse in.

It comes with instructions to help locate the brake wire that you need to tap into if your truck is not pre-wired for a brake controller plug in.. after that it is just a matter of running the 6 or 7 pin plug, and the power wires from the controller to it..

If you have no lamp or break plug at the rear, napa and tsc sell kits the plug into your rear lamp harnes.. just unplug, and plug int he splitter.. then it gives you the flat 4 plug.. which you can then wire over to the 6 or 7 pin plug to have lamps and brakes.. etc.

this one won't be too hard, just buy a stand alone unit, as your truck probably does not have the trailer wiring already in it like new ones do [ my '94 didnt] you'll have a couple of wires under the dash to the fuse box, brake lite switch ect, then at least one to run to the back of the truck to the trailer plug, on the controler itself you get what you pay for, cheap ones will work but more costly ones work better
