The truck since new has gotten worse as it will occasionally shut down to half throttle and the dash lights flash and gauges shut down.

I pull over and restart the truck and it will run Ok for a while.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Your engine is going in to derate limp off the road mode. If your Engine Shutdown features are turned on to detrate engine with warning mode, the Cooling system burp tank could be low on coolant (Below sensor level) The ECM has to see the Coolant tank low for several minutes before it will trigger the warning system. When you pull over and restart your are resetting the clock so to speak.

Or it is sensing High coolant or oil temps or pressure. Or a Electrical failure causing false condition or sensor.

Beyond Speculation it is Imperative that you retrieve Engine codes if a couple simple maintanance Checks don't cure the problem.
