Teenage son left my compressor on last night. when I found it this morning, it was a huffing and puffing in and out the air intake. Haven't had the time to take a look at it, but it's pretty sure bet that the head and reed valve are damaged. Anyone know if the Sanborn people are still in business, and their address and phone number? Had this problem once before a few years ago and they were able to supply parts then. Did an internet search, and didn't find them. Thanks.

I just ordered a part from Coleman-powermate for my Sanborn Black Maxx air compressor Model # b500bpl60v, 5hp, 60 gallon(about 6yrs old). Coleman bought out Sanborn, but they still have parts available. Listed below is there(Coleman) website. Also a phone # 1-800-445-1805 to support
Link
This is the website to submit questions to there support staff, provide them with info of problem, part#(if you know it), model # and they can provide a answer with part availability, cost, etc Link
There>Link is also a part on website for a location to service your air compressor.
Link
Hope this helps

I'm looking to sell a 5hp Sanborn Magna Force air compressor. It's about 10 years old, runs like a top, with low hours. The overall condition is great, and it's always been kept indoors. I am selling it to buy an electric compressor for new garage. Gas compressor is getting to be a pain for light duty home use. I'm in NJ. Not real sure what a fair price is, but $350. sounds about right. If anyone is interested, or if anyone has information regarding the value of such a machine, please post a follow up. Thanks...Mark A.

Ray,
Did you have any luck fixing your compressor? I've got a Sanborn 5hp Magnaforce and it does about everything except compress air anymore. I'm thinking it needs a rebuild like yours. What model is yours?
Dan

Whenever I need parts for mine the local small engine repairman calls Coleman. He can get just about anything in a day or two.

Well, the plant that makes them is about 40 miles from me, in Sanborn, Minnesota. However, they were purchased by Coleman a few years ago. So, check out Coleman-Powermate service centers. They are still operating in the Sandborn plant, pretty much the same designs.
