I was playing on the web and googled welding tips. Go to the first one [Lincoln]. It's got a ton of information. There seems to be a lot of people interested in improving their welding skills. I need something to improve my computer skills. Enjoy this site. Dave

People ask me how I learned to weld and I tell them I bought a Lincoln welder at Sams Club and read the twenty page book that came with it. I guess they been in bizness so long they know how to tell it best. In no time my trailer fender was stuck back on real tight. That book made it simple. I look for stuff to weld up now.

Lincoln does explain things pretty well. There are several good books available on welding and/or cutting oxy/acet. welding. Sometimes though experience can solve a problem a lot easier than reading about it. The Lincoln site has a good chart of different electrodes and their uses as well as other very useful info. That's why I mentioned it. Dave
