What is the difference between VF4 and V4HD?

Can any one tell me the horse powerof the Vf4d and alse fireing order and mag. timeing and where to time it, Any help would be greatly appreceated thanl you

The main thing is the crankshaft design...VH4D was an 'even firing' engine. VF4D had 'uneven firing' (simpler design, but sounded a little like a JD two cylinder). Bore and stroke were the same, I think maximum RPM is higher also; rated at 30 HP. Used on a lot of skid-steer loaders and other products.

The higher the letter, the greater the horsepower,.
VE4 = 20 HP, VF4 = 24 HP don't know what the VH4
is rated as.

VH4D is not it. This is a higher HP than the VF4.The "D" stands for stelite? valve seats.
