i have a little clinton model 900, i need to grind the exhaust+ intake valve does any oen have any advise or tips on this... i tryed starting it with my black hawk drill turning it over at 360RPM for 15 min... i has a green spark witch is good becuase clinton had a hot spark, it was getting gas i couls smell it in the muffler... i took the spark plug out and put some gas in and i got it to make a pop and over speed the drill but didnt take off i have no compression.. i then took off the head and foudn the exhaust valve not closeing all the way... no i guess i have to grind the valve but what do i grind it to is my new problem!!!!

You may not need to grind the seat area of the valve. Check your clearance between the exhaust valve and it's lifter. If there is not any clearance the valve will not seal on the seat.

to do that i woudl have to pull the side cover off or go in the crank case???

You wili have to remove the head and side cover to remove the valve and grind the end if you need clearance. Check for valve clearance first by removing the side cover. From the way you write you do not have much small engine experiance.

not much but i have done about 2or3 but this one the exhaust valve has little notches on the seat or high spots that hold it up ill check the valve clearence and if i have to ill grind it... i also was told if you turn the valve head they adjust or somethign like that i cant remember its benn along time....
