Hello i have a bulldog engine to and know some history about the olds family.some how i get the feeling that ransome olds got alot of his ideas from madison bates.did the two get along and remain friends after madison parted with ransome.I grew up in haslett michigan and do find that a hundred years ago that area and around lansing had to be very majical and rich in history with the electric inter urban connecting all those beutiful farm commuities well its all gone now and little staces were still hear and there in the early sixties.I now live in the petoskey area and have been up here for twenty years....hope to chat with you .....lansing unlimited

I am the historian at the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing, Michigan. The Museum is located on the site of the Bates & Edmonds Motor Co. with our conference room an original part of the factory. I would like to write an article on Madison Bates for the Museum's newsletter. Any information you can supply will help me produce a more accurate and informative article. Thanks, Dave.
