I am searching for a crank for a Wisconsin VH4D. I am rebuilding this motor that came out of my skid steer. I bought the kit (not cheap, but less than a new one) and the guy turning my crank ruined it. Therefore, I need to find another if they are out there. I would like to get one that is standard as I will need to turn it down to -.020 to fit the kit I bought. I have been quoted over $300 for a used one (standard) and am seeing what else is out there. This is becoming more of a hassle than anything and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I surely wouldn't turn a good standard shaft to -.020" just because I had the bearings to fit it. Especially after having one shaft ruined! New standard bearings have got to be a lot cheaper than a shaft.

I had a Wisc. shaft built up and reground and worked out perfect. There is a company here in Maine that does a great job.
