Model 118 motor. Help!

I would really like to know what kind of motor this is. It says Fairbanks Morse on the name plate but other than that I haven't the slightest idea. If anybody can help I would appreciate it. Here is a picture of it at my site Link

Adam,
From what I can see in your picture, the engine is a 118(cubic inches)FM "ZC" with a closed cooling system which were first built in the late 30's. According to the book, "100 Years of FM" these were built for use in Californis oil-field applications. I have seen and hear tell of some of these units being used on other jobs as well.
This same engine (in general terms) was still available from FM a few years ago.
