I AM WORKING ON A 2HP WITTE .I NEED TO BORE THE CYCLINDER BY .020-.030 AND BUILD THE PISTON UP .
IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT I HAVE THE PISTON SPRAY WELDED , BUT THE OUTFIT THAT I CONTACTED CAUTION ME ME ON DOING THIS AND SUGGESTED I BRAZE IT ? WHAT SHOULD THE CLEARANCE BE BETWEEN THE CYC. AND THE PISTON , AND WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THE PISTON

First of all turn your computers Cap lock off! Now what is the bore of the engine? What is the diameter of the piston? What is the diameter of the cylinder where the amount of ware is the least? Do you know how to measure compression distance? Start there. J.
