HOW DO I REPAIR CYCLINDER

I HAVE A 2HP WHITTES AND THE CYCLINDER IS WASHED OUT ON THE BOTTOM THRID BY ABOUT .010 . HOW DO I FIX THIS ? IF I BORE IT .020 TOTAL OR .010 PER SIDE CAN I PUT OVERSIZE RINGS IN IT ? HELP !

First you need to contact a good automotive machine shop and have your cylinder and piston measured for wear.Should be able to bore it and fit a sleeve the correct size to fit piston.May need a new piston or have it built up and machined to fit. Rings have to fit piston size.Can not just use oversize rings on old piston.

Bore it and sleeve it back to standard size...

Bore it, and have the piston built up accordingly (flame spraying)...

Bore it, and locate an OS piston...
