I would like to know the best way to safely Split the Tractor to repair the rear main oil leak. I had some damage to the oil pan so I removed the Oil pan . In the process I removed the bolts to the sheet metal dust cover to the clutch/flywheel to get the pan to angle down to remove it. Doing this must have cut the rear main seal. Since then I have installed the repaired pan with new gasket. Started up the Tractor and the oil is running down the Clutch/flywheel dust cover. The tractor never leaked here before I removed the pan. The only thing I can think where this oil is coming from would be the rear main seal. Anybody run into this ? The only thing I can think of to do is to split it open and investigate
the main seal.
