I recently aquired an old delapitated manure spreader. It was a wood one on four wheels that was built to either be pulled by a team of horses or an old tractor. I wish to rebuild this. I am looking first of all for any information that would be helpful in identifying the brand name and additionally any information, photos, manuals or other information about this would really help my project.

Hi, I have a old manure spreader in very good condition....it can be used as is. Mine is a International Harvester. Many companies embossed their name or initials near the hub or elsewhere on the machine. Some recommended a certain book. It is a good source. Also type Manure Spreader in google and you will find abundant information. I can also take photos of mine, but it would be a while before I am able.
Good luck!

Two Questions . #1 Why?
#2 Where will you find antique manure to fill it?

Check the library for a text by C.W. Wendel. I'm not sure of the title but it includes hundreds of pics of farm machinery back to the 19th century. If it's in there, it will give you a start.
