Need to find a service manual for a 1945 VAC Case. Need manual that shows the torque sequence and amount of torque for the head. Also need to order parts, carburetor kit, head gasket, sediment bowl kit. Know that engines didn't change much back then, and could I use parts from a later model? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Bev

The torque is 60 to 65 foot-lbs. Begin at center stud and tghten from center outward, alternating sides (le ft of center then right of center, left, right etc) - make sure all studs are tightened evenly. After having run for about 1 hr. & has reached operating temp, retighten stud nuts. The manual says to use T-132 extension on your torque wrench. Happy wrenching!!

Try the Case/IH dealer first. He has a catalog for manuals, and a computer parts list. At least you will get an idea of costs for available manuals & parts. Expect to pay the same for new after market tractor part as you would for new auto/pickup parts, depending on the model.
