1950 8n Lower lift arm

My 8n leaks fluid where the lower lift arm connects to the rear axle housing.Could use information or exploded view of lower lift arm. Nut and shaft spin, so shaft may be broken.The manual I have has no information. I would like to know how to replace shaft and seal.Appreciate any hepful information. Thanks, Mt. Man

You can tighten it by removing the left axle housing. It gets torqued to 150 foot pounds. The 8N link pin is a tapered pin. Tighten it and replace the cotter key. You can also get to the right side from here. The pinion gears come out to the left side and provide access. More information can be obtained on the 9n 2n 8n forum on this site and much information and photos are in the archives for that forum..
