I was wondering if the plugs can be inset in a 41 JD B so that the electrodes protrude into the cylinder. Can the plug hole be milled deeper or is there a longer electrode plug?

The threads of the plug should not protrude into the bore, even if the piston is not in the way, it is not designed to run like this...What are you trying to accomplish, or what problem are you trying to solve?

I was wondeering if this help with combustion for more power. Modern gasoline motors I have torn down have the electrodes in the cumbustion chamber protruding. Since these motors were originally designed to run on ultra low octane fuel and karosene oil I can understand the hidden electrode to prevent preignition and fouling. But would it not be of benifit to make them protrude now.
