I know how to figure CR with a straight bored block but the PB I have has compression ring [donut] at the top...how does this change the way to figure CR...[JD 37 bored & stroked]...thanks ...Kent

Kent, if you know how to figure it with a straight bore, it isn"t any different with a powerblock. You just have to do the math more than one time based on the diameters of the bore.

CR still = Total Volume of cyl and head @BDC / Total Volume of cyl and head at TDC

you have to figure the cc's of the dome and the cc's of the head pocket.
